Cutting discs

Cutting discs

So-called abrasive cutting is used to cut materials such as stone or granite with a smooth and clean edge. To achieve particularly precise and neat results, the quality of the discs is very important. Here at Weischer Werkzeuge & Bohrtechnik, you can rely on us to offer only high-quality cutting discs.

Our cutting discs are suitable for all common angle grinders. These are also often colloquially referred to as "FLEX". In the 1920s, the company Ackermann + Schmitt invented the first flexible shaft, in which the grinding wheel was replaced by an angle gear. Since then, the term "flexing" has often been used synonymously with "abrasive cutting".

How do I find the right cutting disc for which material?

Not every cutting disc is suitable for every material. It is therefore important to choose the right cutting disc. In our range, you will find not only universal cutting discs but also special ones for concrete or tiles. Our extra-thin tile cutting discs achieve particularly precise results here.

What do I need to consider when using cutting discs?

Workplace safety is always paramount when angle grinding. Therefore, always observe the maximum permissible peripheral speed. Before use and clamping, you should always check the disc for any damage and perform a short test run. To avoid the cutting disc from jamming, you should not apply it abruptly and only work with light pressure when cutting. The protective guard of the angle grinder must be set so that at least 175 degrees of the disc's circumference are covered.

The material to be cut must also be firmly clamped so that it cannot move during the cutting process. The spark stream must always be directed away from the body. Ensure adequate safety clothing and inform bystanders of potential dangers.
